Practice foraging for food and medicine with my 23-paged Foraging Journal. Foraging is a skill that can determine whether you survive a SHTF event that could very well happen in the near or foreseeable future given the state of the world at the time of this writing.
The Foraging Journal consists of three sections – a Mushroom Hunting Logbook, a Foraging (general practices) Logbook, and the Herbal Healing Logbook. The Mushroom Hunting Logbook has two different mushroom foraging log pages where you record the names, the condition, the location & environment, the quantity and size, etc., of your findings.
The Foraging Logbook section has a Foraging Record page where you again record the names, the condition, the location & environment, the quantity and size, etc., of your findings. Then there is a Preserving Method page for you to identify the plant, describe your method of extracting herbal properties, record what parts of the plant was harvested, and a space for your recipes.
The Foraging Diary page is for you to write about your discoveries and any other observations you’ve made, and a page for your sketches of what you have foraged follows. There’s also pages for each of the four seasons for you to journal about what you find in that particular time of year.
The Herbal Healing Logbook begins with an Herbs That Heal page where you record info about the herb you have harvested. The following six pages gives you information on the common herbs for health to forage for. And, the Foraging Journal ends with a lined page for notes.
